Live Aid - 25 years ago today

Just thought it was worth mentioning the anniversary of Live Aid. As has been said before on this forum, it felt for a few hours that music really could change the world. And maybe it did - just a little bit.

I was to small to watch it live - but it still shines on....

Seem to recall a lot of waiting around for bands to come on - it was a long day.
I even remember videotaping the thing - we had something like five or six 3 hour tapes on the go.

Always will remember U2, Queen, The Who, Bowie & Jagger hype, Simple Minds (who i waited ages for and who were pretty poor) - and inevitably Bob geldof barking down the telly
"Give us your f***kin money" Now !"

Ahhh, remember it well. We watched on the tv whilst listening in stereo through my Dad's music centre which sounded amazing back in the day. Lazing around on those huge bean bags drinking Cherryade, as you did back in, memories!

Oh yeah, that was an amazing day!!!
Me and my mates all ensconced in front of the box all day...
İ think this is where İ was finally able to persuade my friends that Queen was cool!

I was living in Sydney at the time - I think we stayed up all night to watch it
