How many times have you seen Elbow live, and where?

And I've updated mine aswell ! Feel like a part time compared to you mob - my downfall is I don't do festivals !

Tis about time I accumulated a list of all things elbow. Probably best I seek out a decent gigography to help fine tune my memory!

Been a while since the last update. Did they really not play any gigs between mid-2011 and now besides festivals and Jodrell Bank? I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting...

I just wish that Elbow does as many concerts in France as in the UK... I actually saw them one time only.

My first elbow gig was in Belfast last year in August to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It poured and we were like drowned rats.The sun came out when elbow came on. Then we went to Paris to the Bataclan which was Amazing definately would go there again . Finally another soaking at Jodrell. Bank. Think Birmingham NlA should be dry.

I feel a bit imperior to all of you, I've only seen them once! Although it was at Jodrell Bank, and it was the best night of my life. I am, however, going to their show at the M.E.N. on the 1st of December

Even though I've known about Elbow and their music since before Asleep in the Back, I never really started listening to them until TSSK came out. Seen them a few times since.

Got tickets lined up for the MEN in December too. Just wished I payed more attention to their earlier stuff when I actually bought their albums, rather than just losing them to the ether of my CD collection.

I'd love to live in the UK just for seeing them again and again...

I've seen Elbow a few times and although I can say I got into them very early, it wasn't until 2003 that I got to see them live in Portsmouth.

However, best gig has to be in 2008 when they performed at the legendary Bowery theatre in Greenwich village, New York. I surprised my wife by taking her to the Big Apple for our wedding anniversary - I only chose New York because Elbow were there - and the big surprise was that the day before the gig the band did an acoustic set in a Virgin megastore in Union Street.
Got chatting to the band after the show, got my CD's (up to SSK then) signed, asked who wrote 'Newborn' which was met with "No Comment" then asked them to please come and play in Jersey (the old Jersey, not the new one down the road from where we were), which was where I lived at the time.

Twas a good weekend, that.

I have a summer job as a festival steward, and so far I've only worked two festivals so far, T in the Park and V festival. by complete coincidence both times I've worked close to the stages Elbow were on enough to hear their set, which was amazing! Defiantly makes long shifts so much better. (I was still doing my job though)    

With the 2 Manchester dates over the weekend, that is, compared to some, a measly 19 !

Don't know of the dates put definitely as headline act 4 times, prior to Seldom Seen Kid and the rest since it's release.

Like the author, I too saw Elbow support the Manic Street Preachers at Manchester Apollo in March 2001.

That kickstarted my love for everything Elbow, I've followed them ever since.  I saw them another three times but in 2003 I emigrated to Australia.

I saw them play a couple of times in Sydney, The Enmore Theatre on the Build a Rocket Boys tour, and last October at the Opera House in Sydney which was truly amazing.  Like many of the other posters in far flung places, I'm jealous of all those that have seen them dozens of times, but I can at least console myself knowing I would have gone to many more gigs had I remained in NW England.

Now I just make sure I get a ticket every time they tour Australia.

Would have loved to see them at the Apollo again recently though, that is the best venue in Manchester by a mile.

Vancouver and Portland in May 2014, and two of the London Hammersmith shows.

We were passing Newport today en route to Cardiff. Brought back fond memories when we first saw them on TSSK tour back in 2008. We came home the day after and then booked to see them the next night at the O2 in London. It was a magical time discovering them. All started for me, pressing the red button on the BBC.

Included in the 13 are St Paul's in The Crypt, Dublin, Madrid, Bridgewater Hall to name a few.

I have lost count but I saw them everytime they did a concert in Belgium since the release of 'The Seldom Seen Kid' both at festivals as in concert halls. Also saw them at Best Kept Secret Festival last year in Holland and yesterday at Pinkpop Festival. I've never been dissapointed which I can't say of all my favorite bands. Always a pleasure to attend their shows.

Damn since my last post on here I've just over doubled my count!

Had a ticket for the second Manchester Apollo concert this year too (I wanted all the rare plays) but sadly had to miss it.

I've hit the point now where elbow are pretty much just competing with themselves for my best concert spot, though the frames in cork this year offered a huge challenge.
