| My long-awaited copy of The Hazards of Love arrived today - amazing, what a wonderful album! I'd had a sneak preview of a couple of tracks, but the whole thing in its entirety has just swept me away. Their best yet, I think. Anyone else loving it? | |

| Hehe I thought you might reply (from your avatar). I preordered from Norman's Records (love 'em) and was amazed when it turned up today. I hope you get to hear it soon - kind of what you'd expect and more, as a progression from the Crane Wife. Amazing music and (as you'd expect) a wondeful story running through it. Best stop gushing and have another listen... | |

| There's an Interview with them (well...Mr. Meloy to be more accurate) in this month's Word magazine. Have heard The Rake's Song on the free cd that comes with Word mag and am currently listening to (and thoroughly enjoying) The Crane Wife via Spotify. I'm going to have to investigate them a bit more. | |

I don't know about "...est yet" (they do dark so well ) but there are some wonderfully dark moments, be excited. I'm loving Always the Bridesmaid too, kind of more the feel of their early songs while Hazards is a progression from what they've done before. But also a bit like the Táin EP... Hope you continue to enjoy, Hotblack! Picaresque is great too.

| Oooh thanks, will be sure to give it a listen as soon as I get chance. That album is still growing on me (if that's possible ) (BTW haven't you been dead for more than a year by now? Must've been a lot of tax ) | |

| 9th of April..................................................... ........................................and yes...........................it was a lot of tax. PS. I see The Hazards of Love is now up on Spotify. Now I can give it a good listen to before I decide to buy it or not. I can see I probably will from what I've heard so far. | |

| Yeah. It's quite dangerous. There's lots of old stuff I really should have heard before now but never have that still isn't up there yet. They claim they're increasing the library by huge amounts every day so it will only get better. | |

| I love them too. They're from my hometown. I know the drummer John (or used to). He was in this legendary Portland band called The Dharma Bums. Nicest guy. | |

I think this is the best album I've heard since TSSK came out a year ago. It's getting better every time I listen to it.
