Can we have a separate gig reports thread for each gig? I've seen this on some other band forums.

In any case I've already started a separate thread for the Bournemouth show.

Separate threads for each show makes sense to me.

Having Any Day Now back in the set was the most beautiful surprise. Lots of between song witticisms and the phrase 'horses with wigs' has now entered Elbow speak forevermore. Can't wait for Sarfend tonight

How were the 'new' fans?

The gig last night was amazing!! Guy was on great form and the band were brilliant. Highlights were Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver, One Day Like This (of course!) and the beautiful Scattered Black and Whites. I'm still on a high from it all - wish I lived nearer to Southend to see tonight's gig!!

There were a few people who were clearly out on the piss and a fair amount of chatter. As ever, it depended where you stood. In the main though, because the setlist was so TSSK heavy, the crowd were great. The noisiest that people got was during Great Expectations.

As was the case in Manchester last year, sadly. One of the quieter songs which many new fans do not realize the power of and hence criminally treat as a chat break.

Chatting at Elbow gigs annoys me so much!

At Portsmouth last year it was a joke. Friends said the same in Cardiff.

Kind of expect it more now they are massive.

Royal Festival Hall was better as seated.

You must have been in the wrong area. I was at the Pompey gig and had no problems.

I'm seeing them in Sheffield tonight. Great Expectations is one of my all-time favourite songs, so I hope there's no inane chatter!
