No can't complain, must be the best year they've ever had, fantastic to see them getting so much recognition after so many years of no or little recognition.

Yep, I'm seeing loadsa kudos to Elbow everywhere!
The 'Irish Star' voted Elbow's gig here in Vicar Street as the Gig of the Year, above Leonard Cohen!!!
Also the Sunday Times have 'Weather to Fly' (hmm, whose fav song is that again? ) at number 3 in the Top 50 Best Songs of the Year!!!

Agreed about the "GREAT" British public, but I'm all for artists like Elbow getting the kudos and indeed the financial rewards that they deserve.

Lee, I too don't care about what the 'great' british public buys or wants, i just think that elbow deserve more sales for their 18 years of excellence and hard graft - using nothing but 'elbow grease', eh? haha

Well, they did say that this was their best year ever, so I don't think they're complaining...
I've been saying for years that they are going to be absolutely massive, 'Big Time'!!!
So, as far as I'm concerned this is just another step on that journey.
They will be HUGE... and we were there from the start!
Total, total respect to the boys and their craft and thank God they are finally getting the recognition they so fully deserve!

As I was ranting to my dear old ma today... Any acclaim Elbow gets is highly deserved and reason for celebration. I bet the band are happy!
