| Michael Eavis is interviewed in this month's Q Magazine. In the interview he confirms that Elbow will be playing at the festival again next year.
Can't. Wait. | |

| This is great news.
They were, as you're probably aware, brilliant.
Surely the Pyramid beckons this time? Same time slot hopefully.
What others years did the boys head down to Worthy Farm? '04,'07,'09
Any others?
Cheers Dave F. | |

Cheers Dave F. I thought they played the Pyramid when they played there in '04? and they played Glastonbury in 2002 of course, anyone who has the COTH album would know that. No doubt they will be a much later timeslot now, guaranteed prime Glastonbury TV.

| My understanding is now that the band won't be playing this year.
The first line up announcement will be made very soon. Headliners will almost certainly be Blur, Springsteen and Neil Young.

Hope they are on just as the sun (hopefully!) goes down , that's the perfect timeslot in my opinion. oh and on the Pyramid stage this time, there'll be loads more people will want to see them this year. What if they'll try and top last years strings- filled extravaganza? How much does it cost to hire a whole orchestra for one night, I wonder???

| yeah that would be pretty damn awesome, elbow + sunset + whole orchestra + beer = brilliant glasto.
i think they will play actually, i mean the gig last year drew a big crowd and since the mercury i think there will be even more people around to see them, and i hear michael evis say it would be a more traditional glasto this year so Elbow would be a good booking.

| This is amazing! Elbow 08, was one of my favourite Elbow gigs, the audience were just loving it, the vibe was amazing, the best feeling in the world. The sun was setting and Guy was asking the crowd to wave , so he could see them! | |
