Black Moth Super Rainbow are wicked. It's true! As long as you can appreciate the warm sound of early analogue synthesizers, you can appreciate this group. And they just keep getting better, their last album Dandelion Gum was the most enjoyable, upbeat experience yet.

Anyhoo. I just got the debut album by Tobacco, the singer from BMSR. It's pretty much in the same vein as the Moth, only far more hip-hop orientated -there's even a guest rapper on one track. In any case, I'm loving it. And I recommend.

Never heard of them before, but your recommendation followed by a bit of other digging has wetted my appetite.

Cheers

Interesting stuff, lovely atmospherics, but the constant vocoded vocals is a bit much. Dunno if i would get used to it.

It is right on the edge of pleasant at times. But it's unique enough and often layered enough to keep me hooked.

i saw this band live last year and was blown away, unfortunately the recorded material seems much too soft compared to what the live show was like, i would never pass up a chance to see them in concert again though
