I couldn't do anything with it, could barely get a squeak out Tried the traditional Andean/Peruvian guitar (can't remember what that was called) Couldn't work out the tuning. So that ended my foray into world music.

| Nice one Hesh! We were listening as it went out last night, and heard you get your name check and thanks for the muso know-how. Don't want to steal your thunder but I've got a confession to make: I got my letter read out some time back. So what you might think. Well... with the magic of SoundForge, every time I get a text I now have a Mercury Prize Award winner and national treasure heralding its arrival with "Mantraluna Guy, Mantraluna MrsWoman!" | |

That's the thing! Spelt Charango (according to Wiki), the picture of the Peruvian one on the wiki page is similar to the one I had a shot on.

It does indeed. Guy is pretty much a legend just for that, never mind his "day job!"

| I will never forget how he played "In the Pines" by Smog for my Birthday last year. And he meantioned me a few times with the "Dave Stewart Virus" (I am the short haired one with the guitar beside the pic of the cat...) And I can't help the feeling he really pointed at me during my filming in Würzburg.... I hope I can meet him after the concerts in November in Germany... | |

| If I remember right he played Morrissey because the show was broadcasted from the beach. He said no names and it was an old track (Every day is like sunday). But I had the same thing when he played The Engineers "Home" and I thought he did it because I asked him but he sent greetings to "Jay" who had, just by chance, the same idea like me | |
