| I'm back again! Made my feelings known in a previous topic which many agreed with regarding the bands set lists in recent years. It was music to my ears when I read today that the band want to play older and rarer songs, FINALLY! Lol I just hope they are true to their word, who knows maybe they've read what I've posted on here before ha ha, maybe not. Anyhow, all I and every other Elbow fan I know want are gigs containing songs from their full back catalogue, shake up the set, get some of the newer fans introduced to the older stuff etc. Looking forward to the gigs | |

| Welcome back Jason lad,
I'm not going to get my hopes up too much with 'the extent' of new songs for the forthcoming February gigs ; however it does appear to be very good news for those desperate for a few oldies !

Cut and pasted from presale link mate "We enjoyed our theatre tour of the States and Canada this summer so much that we decided to do some at home. There is something magic about the history of old theatres and doing residencies in these lovely buildings means we can be playful with the staging." "Also the band often discuss how great it would be to play older and rarer songs of ours alongside the ones we are best known for. We are also hoping for a range of excellent guests and are really excited about these shows." - Guy Garvey

| Mmm. It also says "alongside the ones we are best known for"... Well, I'm hoping for Oldies and Rarities with a few Well Knowns thrown in, rather than the other way around... | |

| This is good news - ironically, the moment they decide to do this, I make sure I am not able to attend the shows in question; I jet off to Australia in early Feb... Fingers crossed they add more dates and venues for these rejigged shows. Aching to hear Scattered Black and Whites, Powder Blue, Ribcage, Switching Off, Forget Myself and My Very Best live. We've had Fugitive Motel and Great Expectations in recent years - would be wonderful to see them play even older stuff. | |

| Guy Garvey interviewed in "Q" Magazine this month says of next year's gigs.........
"These shows are for fans who wouldn't go to an arena. I can't wait to see people's reactions to some of the ones we're going to play. Powder Blue, Ribcage, Fugitive Motel: all of these are up on the board"

| I received my tickets for London Hammersmith on the 12th just 2 days before Christmas Just can't wait! There are so many songs I would like to listen live...I can't choose only one. In any case, the solution to satisfy all our cravings is quite simple: dear Elbow, extend the setlist! p.s.: Happy New Year to all the forumers! Cheers mates!

| Lynne, I so agree with you: that version at Paradiso is just STUNNING (the whole concert was amazing, frankly speaking). Apart from the emotional entrancement, I physically feel this song, as if someone grabs my stomach and squeezes it. I think I would pay any money to witness a performance like that. I should curb my enthusiasm, I know, but I'm so much looking forward to the gig...At first I didn't want any spoilers about the setlist, but this has turned out to be impossible due to the use of Twitter (and especially due to that tweetaholic of Craig ). I think I will enjoy every single minute anyway! I only hope they'll pick songs from all their albums: in the latest 2 gigs I attended, COT was completely neglected and now it deserves a sort of "revenge" . In any case, when you can count on such a large catalogue of great songs, you will never be disappointed, maths is on your side | |

| Guys, I was wondering if you can help this "inexperienced" Elbow fan...since it's the first time I have standing tickets for an Elbow concert in the UK, what time should I start to queue according to you (doors open at 7 pm)? I'd love to be front (or almost front) row, if possible. And has anyone ever attended a gig at Hammersmith Apollo? What is it like? I saw pictures and read some reviews, but I trust you more Thanks in advance. | |
