| Without going into details regarding each and every song, Thursday was an utterly magical night.
Up there with my finest Elbow gig of all time. The band were absolutely on fire !
Ready for Saturday night now - I cannot wait !

| Another brilliant night on the Saturday.....definitely a livelier crowd than the Thursday crowd and the usual talkers were out on force around us, which led to someone sticking one on one of them, first ever scrap I've seen at an Elbow gig !
To hear McGreggor was absolutely bonkers, it was vicious to hear and the band pulled it off, totally. Very difficult to put into words how special these shows have been ; the lighting, the sound, the songs - just brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
Fantastic to catch up with Cestrian on both nights and really great to see Jones, Ticky & MrsW in the Roadhouse after the gig ; I loved our chat !

| What an utterly brilliant gig; definitely more gig than show, if you know what I mean. Every song was delivered perfectly, apart from a couple of false starts on Newborn and Grounds. McGreggor was such a treat - cue the girlie screams at the front from Joanie, Mrs Woman and me. I feel emotionally drained after that and I honestly don't think they can top this. It's going to be very difficult going back to the arenas after these smaller shows. I LOVE the fact that ODLT is now in the middle of the set and not relied on as the finisher. Thanks lads - total perfection throughout. Great to bump into Graham at the Roadhouse afterwards!!!
BTW - has anyone got a spare standing for Wednesday in London???

Saturday was a great gig... we managed to locate ourselves next to some scouse lads who seemed to be a on day trip from the looney bin though (or perhaps its a local rivalry thing). highlight for me for was bitten by the tail fly and the take off & landing... still maintain that elbow are at their best (for me personally) when guy has a guitar in his mits... thought they got their act into the small venue really well, and as mentioned it was a gig rather than a show, we'd giggled before the gig about whether guy would miss his runway... we even managed a few pre-gig drinks in "a hole in my neighbourhood down which of late I cannot help but fall"

| I've absolutely loved these gigs. I hadn't seen them live before this, but it's certainly set the bar incredibly high. Came over from Florida for it and was so worth the trip. It's been lovely meeting folks from here and other Elbow fans as well, a great bunch. | |

| Four amazing nights in Manchester. Hard to pick a favourite. Shame people feel the need to talk throughout the show, particularly when they're playing material from the older albums. Great to catch up with My Bury Vest at a couple of the shows. Had to laugh on Sunday when Guy asked if anybody had been at all 4 shows. I shouted out at the top of my voice along with one or two others to which Guy responded with 'Ahhh, bless you both'.
41 Elbow shows and counting. Would love to make the Roadhouse gig number 42 but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Dude!! You're from Florida too? That's awesome! Glad to know I'm not alone around here with my Elbow love! And I'm glad you made the pilgrimage to see them - you are 100% right, they are definitely worth the trip!

Wow, so there was a wee bit of aggro happening, eh? I reckon I might be tempted to lose my stuff too, if I'd been near someone chatting away during a gig like that. So happy to hear the shows were as great as everyone was expecting them to be. Sounds like an amazing time was had by all - wish I could've been there but thanks for all the reports! I am enjoying the feedback from everyone and I am so pleased that the Elboys have done such a good job for the long-time fans with these shows!

i was stuck next to some scousers who seemed to be acting up a bit... but i suspect it was to do with the local rivalry thing more than anything... didn't see any fighting mind!
