I managed to get 2 tickets for the Thursday gig in London Thumbs Up! !
I was tempted to try with one of the Manchester dates (I'm so curious to see them playing there! I suppose there is a special atmosphere in their home gigs, isn't there?), but it's easier for me to get to London...maybe in the future, who knows...

Wonderful news for you guys - well done to those of you who scored tickets! I am, as usual, quite jealous of you all (or as my teenaged daughter would say, I'm totes jelly Rolling Eyes ). Already looking forward to reading your post-gig write-ups! Smile

:DHeheheh...I wish, dude! I would love that, but I have a feeling it would be unlikely. If I somehow manage another miracle trip though, you'll be the first to know! Thumbs Up!

I am so, SO sorry to be missing this little run of shows. Looks like pretty much the best possible scenario for long-time fans who have missed hearing the earlier material on the recent tours. Odds are that this won't be the type of show they do too often, and definitely not outside the UK, so I am bummed big time. Sad Very happy for those of you who will be going, though. Lots of pictures/videos/descriptions, please - I'm so excited to hear all about these gigs from anyone who will be there!

Hi All,

The wife and I are going on Saturday (can't wait) but we have a hotel (Novotel) which is about a miles walk from the venue.

Just wandering if it's going to be safe walking back, or would a taxi be better.

Anyone else staying at the Novotel, perhaps we can meet up at the end of the gig for a post-gig drink and walk back together ?

well i feel safe walking around manchester! i presume this is the novotel just off portland street? if it were me i'd walk down brunswick street and into town along oxford road. oxford road / portland street are safe as houses, and you're less likely to get lost Smile

gosh. tomorrow night for me. that rolled by quickly. haven't been to the apollo for the thick end of 20 years... it is going to be a trip down memory lane! anyone else going tomorrow?

Get the 192 bus mate from virtually outside the PICCADILLY TAVERN - takes about 5 mins to get to Apollo - otherwise a black cab might cost you around a fiver.

Managed to get a Thursday ticket last minute-ish to go with the Saturday ones......and on the ale from 6pm tonight, bring on the old tunes (please) !

Spot on! Thanks....

Reading the set list, I think you've had a belter of a night! I'd ask for a review already but some may not want spoilers...

Can't wait for Saturday now, only just learnt who the support is that night too, gonna be a brilliant night!

it was a belter, aye! i am so used to hearing 'one day like this' as the very closing song, with all the rousing singalong, to hear it halfway through the set felt weird, like the gig was finishing early, but no there was another hour or so to go, and i was thinking to myself, 'how on earth do they follow that?!'

be interesting to hear how the other nights compare - after last night i'm a bit gutted i don't have tickets to the other shows... but on the other hand, there's no need to br greedy. right? Smile

having seen what the encore was last night i couldn't think of a better ending, especially because the appearance of one song in particular... its good they've mixed it up a bit...

im wondering if they'll mix up the rare songs a bit each night, be interesting to see tonight's set list...

Really can't wait myself to see if their mixing it this time around, be peeking at the setlist tomorrow morning! I'm made up with the mix I got off them but it'd be great to have a few rotating slots for rare plays on every tour really, especially when you're booking multiple dates Razz.

i couldn't agree more! ive typed enough words on this forum over recent tours and a lack of variety... its as if they went in the total opposite direction this time round... Very Happy
