| Sure there'll be plenty who've recorded it themselves, but if you couldn't and you have posted on this forum at least 5 times, PM me with your email address to be invited to a Dropbox folder. If you're a non-registered 'lurker' who wants access to these, but are on Twitter you can also shout me @elbowfans and I'll sort it from there. If you're not on Twitter either, then sign up here and post at least 5 times on other threads - and there's lots of interesting ones! - to be able to PM me. A little incentive to shy potential members! There's two versions of audio: - The R2 show as is with interview & 9-track set up to ODLT (no encore), as one mp3 track @128kbps
- The 12-tracks broadcast from R2 & 6Music as one mp3 track @256kbps
- Plus same as 2 above, but split into individual tracks
There's also Flash (.flv) video of the whole Red Button gig with all 15* songs including Starlings, Station Approach & Scattered Black & Whites which aren't on the audio. *I'm counting the intro overture in that.

| Looks like 5 still isn't enough... MrsWoman is there any chance you could PM me with your email address and I'll reply... thanks in anticipation
I've managed to copy the radio2 broadcast from the BBC website using Replay Media Catcher, but I cannot get the video, or extra tracks from 6 Music...

| Hmmm...looks like my plan backfired!
I had introduced a feature that prevented spamming, so there is a minimum number of posts required before you can send a PM.
I've reduced it now (it was 10, now 5) so you should be able to send a PM now.

| I downloaded the video and the audio. Been able to watch the video on my pc but when I've burned it to a DVD it wan't play back on any DVD player. Converted file format etc. and still no joy. Don't suppose anybody has it burned onto a DVD that they'd be prepared to copy for me? It's the full gig I'm after rather that the hacked up performance that's being shown on the red button now.
Cheers.

| Birdynl's sorted. If your first language isn't English and you're struggling with forum posts, Google Translate can be a big help. Although of course, those who need it most may not be able to read this...! | |

(I tried to pm you but was foiled by the recent posting limit!)

| Unless the recording was taken from an FM source then the recording probably won't ever be any better than MP3. DAB, Satellite, Freeview and the BBC internet stream all use compressed audio formats.
Absolute Radio made the St. Paul's gig available in FLAC which sounded amazing. The BBC don't seem to have realised that some of us want to hear things in an uncompressed format.
Even if you see a WAV of FLAC of this gig the chances are that they're just conversions of the MP3 which completely defeats the object. When are people going to realise that converting a MP3 to a lossless format doesn't make it lossless? It lost everything when it was MP3. Converting it won't bring it back.
I'd love this gig in FLAC but doubt it exists. I'll keep my eyes and ear open and let you know if I find anything.

| *tips imaginary hat* It was another forumster who added the .avi so thanks to them too. Not sure how they are on named mentions for such, but it's much appreciated! Natch, the BBC & the band own the rights to this, I don't, etc etc. | |
