| Cheers, I just applied via the BBC site and got an email back from them last Thurday with a pair of tickets attached! Maybe had a slight advantage having a Manchester postcode. I've not seen the band for a couple of years now so I'm well looking forward to it I was just wondering if they may allocate seats on entry depending on whether you have a face for tv or not! | |

When I was there last year mate, they pushed all the pews to the back, so there WAS some seating, but the vast majority was standing - to get the best unrestricted view you'd need to be quite central (which is fairly narrow), otherwise there would appear to be some part of the Cathedral's structure in the way - that was what it was like for Beach House nearly a year ago anyway - have a great time, it'll be very, very special I'm sure.

| Hi all - does anyone know what time the gig is shown live in Exchange Square and if it's simultaneous with the red button coverage that starts at 9 or is the red button on a time delay ? The Exchange Sq do is between 8 - 10 and my mates going down and wants to know. I know that millions of us are going, so one of us should know ! | |

| I realised earlier that the gig at the Cathedral will be the first time in over a decade that I've not been at an elbow show in Manchester. I'm so gutted not to be there. It's a very sad day. | |

I think the last time I missed a Manc show was the one at the Blueprint Studio's around TSSK period, I think - before that - COT tour. A sad day but such is life.

| They're 'thinking of playing 1 or 2 of the old romantic songs and Scattered....' 'playing other songs not played at the festivals this summer' according to Guy's interview on 6Music.
I'm inwardly weeping. | |

| In the encore so far on Radio 6, we've had "The Stops" (which Guy introed as "an up-tempo song") and now "Tower Crane Driver."
I'm trying to record it all with Audacity, but I keep dropping out at roughly six minute intervals. I think Radio 6 is rebroadcasting the whole thing later, so I'll try another recording at home.
