I've registered but it only sought my name, email addy and date of birth. Being outside the UK, I wonder if I'm not entitled to be in the draw It says in the fourth para on the page Girl Afraid posted, blumoon. With it saying UK, I'm guessing they imply UK with Northern Ireland?

| If I'm unsuccessful and somebody has a spare I'd be more than happy to make a donation to charity in exchange for the spare ticket.

| As far as the ticket allocation goes, it makes perfect sense for 75% of the tickets to be allocated to people with a Manchester postcode - it is a bit of a 'one-off', being part of the 'Homecoming' series of concerts; bands from a city, playing in the city, in front of an audience from the city.
Minimal chance for us non-Mancs, but hey ho. At least it's being broadcast live on Radio 2 and live on the TV as well, via the red button! To imagine such a scenario 4-5 years ago about an elbow gig is amazing testament to how far the band have come.

| Has anyone here applied via the BBC site plus Elbow's own link aswell? The reason I'm asking is I'm not in Manchester but would really love to go to this as I can easily travel there and I only want 1 ticket. I applied via the BBC site as soon as it was announced but I'm wondering if we can apply via Elbow's own link too, or does it break the terms & conditions? (The BBC T&C's say only one entry per person per event). | |

| Only just read this. Very best of luck to everyone, not really any point in us trying for it, we live miles away. I feel gifted enough to have been one of the very lucky ones to go to the St Pauls night.
So hope the tickets go to very good Forum member's homes. Fingers crossed I'm routing for you all.

| Not heard anything yet - be nice to know either way, got 'potential babysitter' booked ! But expecting a bout of minor despair, coupled with a few cans in front of the telly watching it, then moaning in bitterness that nothing from AITB is played ! P.S On the offical Facebook site, nobody has come on saying they have tickets, so don't think it's happening just yet. P.P.S Someone on the Garvey/Jo Whiley R2 link on the Facebook site has just come on saying they've got a pair - that was 15 mins ago. | |

| Someone on Twitter says they have a pair. I guess the Beeb have notified the successful applicants. I'm not expecting them to send out an e-mail to those who've been unsuccessful. | |

| There's been a bit of discussion to elbowfans' twitter a/c, but out of all the followers, not one person's admitted to winning any. The BBC's tombola box must be a bit iffy. Bet the night'll be better at yours anyway, Ticky. | |

| Just did a quick Google of the venue capacity and it can take up to 1,500 standing, 1,100 seated. Maybe more tickets will become available?

Im sure that i read somewhere that only 250 tickets were available? but I could be wrong. The BBC would surely get a percentage of the rest, as maybe the catherdral and the college of music and the band? I wonder who won the Zaphod fans comp? you would have thought that that person would be someone on here. Completely gutted that I wont be there, but will just have to make do with BBC's red button and some Elbow beer

| There are plenty of tout tickets still available to see them next in the UK... in a beautiful church in london instead, with Jo Whiley from the BBC too! 80 tickets on Seatwave, 110 on Viagogo, 18 on Ebay, 68 on Getmein, though the advertised Ticketmaster 'sold out' at 9am on the day they went on sale. So take your pick of the tout sites...all you need now is lots of money ...so that counts me out . Heres hoping the touts give even a small percentage to the Mencap Charity of their personal profit from fans who continue to buy secondary tickets from these tout condoning sites. | |

| Does anyone have anymore details about this gig? Whether it's standing or seated? I've never been to a gig at the cathedral before so I'm not sure what to expect. I've called the venue and the BBC concert line but no one can give me any more info, can anyone on here help me out? Cheers
