Elbow Merchandise - Is there enough ?

Just got the 'Christmas' check our store out email.

While I don't wish to criticise the band, and note that the uniqueness of some of the merchandise is pretty cool,
Such as Hip Flask, Umbrella etc.

I'm not sure theyr'e making the best of marketing. It could be argued that less is more as far as merchandise goes - but i still think they are missing a few tricks with perhaps expanding the range slightly ?

I'm always a big fan of a predominantly white T-shirt (call me boring!), and a bigger choice of designs/colours wouldn't go a miss.
A polo shirt would be fine for my golf ( ) along with the hip flask !

Anyone got any other ideas - I don't personally want a naked calender or anything (Ladies might have a different opinion, knowing you lot !)

Personally, I'd like to see more merchandise from the previous albums. I'm still hoping for a reappearance of the navy blue shirt with the LOtFW album art in white on it, but I doubt it'll show up again. A good idea is to also sell smaller items, such as pins and stickers.

Yep, naked calendar, please!

Ha ha! Just like in Calendar Girls - they could be photographed in front of a strategically placed plectrum (not that I'm casting aspersions!!)

It's a natural thing for a fan to want lots of gear from their favorite band, and I would have liked to have more of a selection as well. This certainly would have been the year to capatilize on their popularity, and I suspect they'd have done alright had they offered a bigger crop of items for sale. The pins and stickers idea, as ukkonen mentioned in his post, would be a good one for a lot of fans. And more (different) shirts would be nice too.

I suspect they didn't really know what sort of market there might be for these sort of things, and they just didn't focus that much on it. At the end of the day I will live without the shirts and stickers as long as they keep giving us fantastic music to purchase!
