Thanks for that! Got to hear just what a fool I made of myself when my hand shot up when Guy asked if anyone had a message to send out. Hadn't really thought it through and he looked at me with the mic and I thought, oh no I've made a mistake. :p My family back home appreciated it though!

Can I ask, did you record this in a lossless format and make an mp3 from the original recording or is the FLAC just a converted mp3?

Really appreciate this, BUT, would anyone be willing to upload it to a different site ?? FileFactory just not working for me, each track I download is only a couple of seconds long, so having serious errors...............

Recorded via Virgin cable (TV) onto a Tivo, analogue out into PC. Recorded using Audacity and saved as FLAC. Reloaded, broken into tracks and saved as FLAC and then MP3.

I can't find out what bitrate the radio station use when broadcasting on the Digital TV platform; there was a discussion a couple of years ago bemoaning the drop to 112Kb when new codecs were introduced, but I would be surprised if it were over 96Kb today

Thanks for the info, Mike. It certainly sounds better than a 96k stream.

I record a lot of stuff from the radio and always wonder if it's actually worth converting to FLAC when the original stream is of a lower quality than mp3. What you're getting is basically a mp3 in a FLAC container. I'm amazed at the number of people out there who are busy converting their mp3 libraries to FLAC in the belief that the quality will improve. People just don't seem to understand that once you've ripped to mp3 there's no going back. You simply can't get back what was stripped out in the compression process.

Really appreciate the upload, but am I being really dull but trying to follow the links just leads to some advert led blind alley?

I hate to have my first post be an ask- but I'm absolutely at a loss for trying to download the MP3 version. Was at the show and would love it if anyone can help. The adfly URL clicks through to a page without a download prompt.
