Snow

Is Newport the only place in the country that hasn't had any snow? I'm seriously pissed off about it - no work, sledges ready and NADA! I presume it's plentiful oop north and I know that the south east has had loads. Snot fair.

Here in Wantage there's been bugger all so far despite everywhere else around getting huge dollops of the stuff.

The kids are out sledging as we speak here in north Powys. (Yes and it's nearly dark!) It's a bit wet and slushy at the moment though. Look on the bright side, those of you who haven't got any - it's pretty but it stopped me going out to a get-together I really wanted to go to yesterday.

We've had a wee bit here, which is saying something as there's seldom any snowfall due to being on the West Coast. It's been pretty bad though south of Lancaster on and off for the last ten days.

We also had a white Christmas, which was lovely, and this was my daughter's Mary and Baby Jesus.

Awww, such cute snow sculptures everyone! We're actually roasting here today and I wish we could have a wee snow flurry or two, to cool things down!

Not even! If there's anything less festive at holiday season than a heat wave, I don't know what it is! We get enough of that during the rest of the year. I'd genuinely like it to be a bit more wintery for at least a little while. Who the hell wants to be sweating on New Year's?

A teeny tiny sprinkling of snow here, but not much else!

In the last half hour we've just had a deluge of hailstones. They're lying an inch deep now, so I suppose it looks like snow.

I remember chill blains in my toes so well. Childhood memories. Got them through hours of playing in the snow. So painful in the warming up process.

i like snow to a point, but when it forces trains to cancel, preventing anything from happening of a night, it pisses me off
