Green Man - 2010

Just an idea people - I'm 99% sure that I'll be going to this festival next summer and, having recently been in touch with Mrs Woman, I believe that she and Mr Woman will be attending as well. Does anyone else fancy a meet up there - we could have an ERO Annual General Meeting! It's a wonderful festival - the line up last year was absolutely first class and this year one of my favourite bands are headlining on Saturday - Flaming Lips. With any luck we may get Chrissie over from the States and I'm sure Jones would pop over for a party. How about you Mr Magical Trevor - summer holiday in sunny Wales?! Let us know what you all think...

every year im thinking that i should do the green man (erm.. that sounded better in my head) as its just down the road from where i work and live in wales (no i mean i can walk down if im bored) it really is a good festival and its a good cause as lots of the stands are local stands and when you buy something the money will go to for example the school in cwmdu and such.

I didn't realise you were so close to me Stockhaus! That would be brilliant if you went as well. I'm about 99.99997% sure I'l go now.

It might just be me due to a relative glut of other nice things we're doing, but holding off on buying tickets immediately so we can suss it out better and get organised first.

He he - I did actually!

I have just had the most amazing weekend that I can remember. Apart from all the incredible music, I kept on meeting Wayne Coyne - he had to walk past our tent to get to the back stage area. In fact he almost caught me having a surreptitious pee behind my tent just before they went on. What a wonderful, gorgeous, friendly, fabulous bloke! It really didn't matter that it pissed down all weekend. We met loads of brilliant people and danced ourselves stupid till 4am every night. I LOVED the Fuck Buttons, Besnard Lakes, Johnny Flynn, Smoke Fairies, Lone Wolf, Megafaun, Mumford and Sons - I could go on... However, the best of all was Flaming Lips - we were right down the front and the atmosphere was extraordinary. On the first night, a 'lost' film was shown about Leonard Cohen - which was meserising.

How fantastic that you had some Close Encounters of the Coyne Kind! Man, how I would have LOVED to have been there!! But it sounds like the whole fest was magic, and I'm so happy to hear you had such a marvelous time. Great pic, but ( as hesh said) what a shame the fence got in your way! Still, great job on getting a snap with him, and thanks for posting it so I can drool with envy for a week or so!

Like some of the Lips stuff, but won't profess to know a full LP's of stuff - but their life shows on YT do look so 'feel good'.

Well I finally managed to get around to go down to GM, working though for Cwmdu School selling Bangers & Bacon haha good thing, since I know the people who own the land and i was working I get free wristband and stuff. almost drove into leadsinger of Flaming Lips (wayne yea?) and I walked into Johnny Flynn
bestest little festival there is. Im so looking forward to next year!
