| I'm in the middle of my hard-core Christmas shopping just now, and I was thinking about what all y'all want for Christmas yerselves, or what cool stuff you've gotten for your friends & family. My daughter's getting a big score this year - I have it on very good authority that Santa's bringing her an iTouch, a pet fish (which she's asked for for 6 Christmases now!), and a beginner's drum kit. Yeah, that one should be fun for the whole family. I don't really need anything much, as I've had a lovely New York vacation recently and was quite lucky to have it! But, should any Christmas cash somehow find its way to me via my relatives, I still want to get Beatles Rock Band and some of the Elbow goodies I've not had the chace to get yet (the deluxe AITB, for example). What about you? | |

| I'm terrible to get presents for. I never know what I want and I've got to the stage where if I want something, I usually just go out and buy it. I don't like waiting 6 months for a thing in the hope that someone will get me it for Christmas. On the whole, I guess I still take child-like pleasure in being surprised. Things are just things and it IS the thought that counts. I actually DO prefer buying presents for others (when I get round to it, of course: I am a bloke). This year, though, I've already got what I wanted this Christmas, which was simply to still be here. Now that's put a downer on things, hasn't it? But it's true. I'll be happy with a satsuma and some nuts (but don't tell Mrs W ) | |

| My seven year old son (who's got ASD) produced his christmas list sometime late September ! top of the list - a laptop. (I'm thinking no way, he's having a laugh!) Nine year old daughter, top of her list a laptop also. (Now i'm really thinking no way x 2) Now i know we should have just said no, but two lap-tops later.....this is heading for the most expensive xmas ever. You know how Barclaycard have been doing okay despite the recession , well thats down to me | |

| My mom will get a selfmade Elbow-calendar But mostly we don't have any gifts at christmas to avoid the shopping stress. The christmas meal is the gift we get from my parents and the nice party is the gift to each of my family But if I had a rich friend I would wish for some money to stabilize my bank account... | |

| I am getting Jimmy Choo Shoes! Wahey!!! My little boy has asked for... books! He's probably clutching at straws here as the spoilt brat already has everything you could want. There'll probably be a few Playstation 3 and WII games under the tree as well... | |

I'll be happy with a satsuma and some nuts (but don't tell Mrs W ) Ditto on the first point. As a family we tend to trestrict spending to £25 per person for most relations with a few exceptions. Keeps things resonably inexpensive. This year I asked for contributions for a guitar which I've already bought and have been using for about a month already. I'm a bit of a Bah! Humbug! when it comes to Chrumble. And a satsuma is readily bought from a grocers. I keep my nuts with me all the time, fnarr fnarr!!!! | |

| My little boy's obsessed with anything with wheels that goes "brrrm brrrm", so we've got him the Cars DVD (which he's never seen) as well as a few other car-related bits and pieces. We were hoping to take him to Diggerland for his birthday too (January) but it's bloomin' well closed until March Can't even remember what we've got for baby Eve but she's only 8 months so a big pile of wrapping paper will do Looking at some of your replies, we're lucky that our kids are still young enough to not want expensive gadgetty things for Chrimbo, plus they're still at the age where they get loads of presents from grandparents, aunties, neighbours etc... As for me and Mrs Spoons, we never usually buy each other presents, just loads of nice food and booze - but with the expanding family we're finally getting a bigger car - a Vauxhall Meriva, which I'd never heard of before but it seems HUGE compared to the Peugeot 106 studentmobile we've been squeezing ourselves into for the last few years... | |

| OK, I had to brag about my haul. I wasn't asking for or expecting much of anything this year, but I did get Beatles Rock Band (which is sooo much fun!), an iPhone (which will be fun once I work out how to use the bugger), and to top it off, an authogtaphed photo of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter! I must've been better than I thought this year! Santa was too kind! | |

| Yes! My little boy got Rock Band as well and we've been having loads of fun with it! As mentioned before I got an amazing pair of shoes but also the Che Guevara Box Set with the accompanying books, as well as a biography on Fidel Castro, so I'm made up! | |
