Well done Peter.
thank you BIG TIME for including ELBOW in the Children in Need Song. What an amazing finish to the song
Lets hope it raises lots and lots and lots of money for such a needy cause.

Just noticed a repeated clip of this.
My daughter asking why the characters were singing Elbow. I said cause they're ace.

The new Children In Need single put together by Peter Kay including the chorus from Elbow's One Day Like This.
Discuss.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see the other thread over on the Elbow Patch.

I hadn't heard the song before today and just caught the tail end of it as i walked past the radio at work.
Cue me thinking "...is that...? It is! What the heck is this?!?!?" and standing there until the record finished. (The "is that...?" is because i work in a noisy workshop and couldn't hear it that clearly - i obviously know the song well enough )
Good on you Peter!

I've just seen this and it even brought a smile to the face of a hardened old cynic like me.
I hope it's number one for, ooh about 6 weeks would do, I think.

Would love to have seen the expression on all the little Potters and young Jupp's face when they hear all those childrens TV characters singing their dad's song for the end.

I REALLY hope it prevents the XFactor single from being number 1 at Christmas this year.

Ha ha ha, what a way to defuse the Hey Jude/ODLT debate. Nice job, 'Big Chris'.

Brilliant! Watching this was like all sorts of worlds colliding for me.
It's got Elbow in it! It's a mashup! It's got Big Chris, Roary the Racing Car, Bob The Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, Bagpuss, etc, etc in it (I have small children so I must've seen these programmes all a million times)
My little boy started crying when it finished, because he wanted it to be longer... probably the only time he'll ever see all his favourite cartoon characters in the same place.
Oh and I love the Live by Satellite bit with all the 2D cartoon characters
