Les Paul, whose pioneering electric guitars were used by a legion of rock stars, has died at the age of 94.

RIP to the creator of one of the most iconic items of 20th century culture.

Weirdest thing, I was looking at Epiphone Les Paul's on Wiki with the missus (thinking of getting one) clicked the link to Les Paul's page, and it said he had died today.

RIP indeed. Not a great guitarist, but a pioneering guitar design.

RIP one of the modern music innovators. Not only for his pioneering work with the solid body electric, he invented multi tracking as well you know. And I personally think he was a great guitarist, you didn't get the gig with the likes of Bing Crosby if you didn't have the chops.
