How on earth did they play in all that rain - I loved Pete and Craig's green pakamaks. God bless Guy though - belting out each song in a force 10 storm! Surely it's dangerous being on stage in such a torrent?

My friends were there on the Saturday. They didn't stay for elbow because of the weather. Yeah yeah yeahs were reduced to playing acoustic earlier. I'd been there on the Friday. Would be interesting to see what the crowd reaction was to them. When James played, I've never been stood in a more disinterested festival crowd. Seemed a lot younger than v and t. Lots of waving to the cameras and standing still arms folded.

Did any record this?

Only caught the last minute or so last night. Just enough to catch the end of 'One Day Like This' and some absolutely fantastic drumming from Jupp. Very Happy

For those of you privileged enough to be lining Mr Murdoch's pockets, MTV2 (Sky Channel 355) is running some Oxegen festival footage this evening and at half past midnight, there will be highlights of Elbow's performance. cheers

As the Elbow segment is only half an hour long, please be warned that in MTV world this will only equate to three, maybe four songs if we're lucky. I'm sure there will be plenty of adverts telling us how wonderful MTV is. Crying or Very sad

Excellent. Lots of Oxegen footage is being put up on dimeadozen so hopefully we'll get some Elbow. I'll post a link if it gets put up

It may have been Oxegen but there were definitely a couple of hydrogen atoms there as well.

Good woman standing out in that for 7 hours Jones - I hope you made the pit. I was there on the Sunday, less rain, lots of mud.

I went Friday for James. Left after the Hours because of the rain / crowd / cider.

Friends went Saturday, gave up early.

i was there, bloody fantastic too. i was on the right of the sounddesk and its on an incline. a massive flow of water rolled down the hill and turned loads of it into a swamp. there was a big crush in the pit too as so many people were in there, though some were nonce kings of leon fans waiting all day, and guy stopped playing til all was calm. bloody fantastic
