| My boyfriend is now unable to go to the gig due to doing a 15 mile walk on the Thurs and Friday with work colleagues. He is gutted that he will miss the gig, but decided the walk was important due to it being organised by a work colleauge who's son was unfortuantly killed during a night out in Blackburn the other month by a mindless ( and underaged) thug who was off his head on alcohol. The walk is in his memory. This means that I now have 1 spare standing ticket, and he has asked that I give first dibs to anyone on here. Ticket is in hand and all he wants is face value for it. If anyone is interested then please PM me. thanks | |

He wanted me to ask on here first as he wanted it to go to a good home, and unfortunatly none of our friends have that good a taste in music that I can take in his place (Edited to shrink quotes)You are more than welcome to join me and my daughter there, if you are by yourself. Hoping to meet a few more solid ELBOW fans if we can get there early enough. Only my 2nd RLBOW gig.

| So...Sinclairs, the old pub opposite M&S near The Triangle is the meet-up spot mentioned a wee bit back.
Doors at the MEN are 6.00pm with support on at 7.30. Any ideas what time's good for folk to gather at the pub? Bearing in mind the plan was to stake a mass place at the front and it takes about 10-15 mins walk round to the arena.

| Me and the fella are up for looking daft in the name of 'bow. As ever. Think there's enough for 12 pairs of crazy earrings or thereabouts. I'll probably get a hat or three, to chuck on stage if nowt else. | |

| Im' so envious of you lot sounds like it's going to be a right knees up. Will be thinking of you whilst watching Coldplay.
Me and other half are trying desperately to persuade my two girls NOT to go to Wembley. Ebay still have standing tickets available. I'm working on it! Cash bribery could be the answer.

| Thanks for the offer MT. We are now furiously selling the Coldplay tickets on Ebay, not for a profit mind. Don't think they will sell and may get landed with them. If i can persuade the other half to make another 7hr round trip to MEN then whooppeee. Going to be a tall order as we are already going to see Coldplay Dublin Monday prior to MEN - Elbow Supporting. Think I'm pushing my luck on this one. | |

| According to the Elbow MySpace site, - Quote :
- Fiery Furnaces To Replace Howling Bells at MEN Show
Unfortunately Howling Bells are returning to Australia earlier than originally planned to write and record their new album and have have had to cancel their special guest slot with Elbow at the MEN Arena on 18th September. But, the amazing Fiery Furnaces have very kindly agreed to step in and replace Howling Bells at the show. Shame, I was looking forward to Howling Bells. I don't know the Fiery Furnaces, will check them out...

| Hmm, the Fiery Furnaces may grow on me on seeing them live. But as you say WobleWoble, it's the icing on the cake (though essential viewing if we want to stake a place at the front of course) so can't complain. | |

| [quote Where did you get them from ticky? If anyone else wants one I'll join in the order [/quote] I got them on ebay - they're pretty cheap really - about £4 per sombrero, inc postage. I got the one with the pinkish/red rim round it - v stylish! | |
