Abbey Road CD/DVD

How could that be? Can't you order tis CD from their website where you are? I'm sure you can!!

Where in the U.S. are you from? I'm an ex-pat Oregonian newborn Mancunian.

Mine came yesterday and I had a 'sneak' preview yesterday, looking forward to viewing it all again over the weekend with a glass of my favourite white wine. Hurrah !!

I received mine yesterday, but I can't watch it until 23rd June, which is my mum's birthday!! Then I discover I'm touring America with a band in June/July so I can't watch it until I get back!! ARGH!

Not seen any mention of this anywhere (a bit surprising as it had heavy rotation on the BBC not so long ago and yesterday was the day all the pre-orders were delivered to eager Elbow fans all over). Anyway, the show is available in a neat little box, containing a booklet, photos, a DVD and CD of the performance. The Seldom Seen Kid performed in its entirety (apart from We're Away) wth the BBC orchestra. Songs like Grounds For Divorce and One Day Like This are elevated to a majestic level with the strings, horns and choir and everyone looks like they're having a jolly good time.

An essential addition to the Elbow collection, for sure.

Hmmm, very odd. HMV are supposed to dispatch the boxset Monday, but they did it yesterday Ah well can't complain. Anyone else get theirs dispatched too?

That picture was genuinely on my wall for quite a while!

I ordered it from the Elbow website. At one point HMV were supposed to be sending it (can't send HMV, they take forever to deliver) but then I got an email saying it wouldn't be them, it would be...someone else (very vague). Anyway, they delivered on time, whoever "they" were.

Finally got the hubby to connect the surround sound to the dvd player so i could watch the Abbey Rd dvd and it was ace, floor was vibrating and everything, good job the neighbours were out- there again i dont like them anyway.

....still not been delivered. I'm starting to get concerned now.

Yeah with my tickets too, I'm picturing Gollum-like creatures dressed in post office uniforms dancing around to SSK waving mine and Sundaygirls tickets in the air shouting "my precious"

Well, fortunately the kind people at Bridgewater Hall will print out new ones for you that you can go and collect in person. I'm going tomorrow!

Apparently my Mum caught my dad watching the gig online yesterday... I'm am going to be THE favorite child when he get's my present, thank you boys!
