| Steering us back on topic. To answer whoevers quesiton it was about whether Muse has copied Rage, I disagree, as Muse has put a lot more classical influence into their music than Rage does. Plus, I can listen to a Muse abum and like every song, whereas I skip a lot of Rage. | |

Agree - I can't hear ANY Rage influence in Muse at all! They're two bands that I like, but don't love. I was fairly impressed by Tom Morello's guitar skillz when I saw them at Reading one year though.

| WHAT?!?!?!?! the mad riffs?!?! if we're gonna get technical here its the big riffs that have octaves and open strings, and usually the nots descend by step, with some leaps. Muse EVEN SAId IT!!
"rage were always our favourite band and weve got a lot of inspiration from them" *laughter* "a bit more than that!"

| Well, Rage nicked all their good ideas from the Jane's Addiction song "Pigs In Zen", so perhaps Muse should be crediting them instead...
Like I say, I'm not a big Muse fan... I like Supermassive Black Hole (can't hear any Rage influences in that, at all) and Sunburn (ditto), the rest I can take or leave really.

| It's their b-sides that display their Rage love most. Yes Please, Agitated, Ashamed. Not forgetting singles New Born and Dead Star... drop D riffs in the main. And it's good stuff, like. | |

| Muse = Overblown, tedious and boring... These days anyway.
Rage = Loud, angry, great...

| Must admid I don't like both that much. The vocals getting on my nerves; The chap from Muse sounds a bit to cheesy for me and the RATM-chap too much like a angry little doggie... | |

| I don't even know why we are comparing them. Quite different bands I think. Or maybe I know much more about RATM and not enough about Muse and that's why I say this. | |

| You are right. Bellamy is a fantastic singer and composer. Probably one of the most talented band members i've seen in a while. | |
