| There are... ways... to get software. For people that don't have hundreds of pounds. And I recommend Cubase for audio recording which I suppose is your field, Reason for midi and synths. Pro Tools is the usual must have but only get that if you're feeling lazy, Cubase is much more malleable. And hell, the new Cubase (4) has brilliant built in synths, so it's pretty much the uiltimate program... blah blah blah. Keep the music coming in any case | |

| You could get Computer Music magazine, as it has a free DAW included on the disc every month.
Reason is very good, but has no audio. I'm not sure if the CM DAW does rewire, which would mean you could link reason and CM, and get audio...within reason, if you see what I mean | |

| If you're still in education Leo, you can get a full version of Cubase for a heavily discounted rate. MT might rap my knuckles for posting a link to any particular supplier, so just Google 'Cubase' and 'educational rate'. And you'll prolly need to talk to your teacher/lecturer nicely to get proof of status for purchase. | |

| Cheers MT, some boards get a bit narky about such things. Here's one such site below, with different version options available. Depends on how serious you want to get/spend. Christmas isn't too far away... One of many Cubase Educational Suppliers | |

| Discussing a private, slightly dodgy transaction between a couple of acquaintences isn't the same as openly discussing where to obtain pirated software, which is what I would object to. | |
