| A beautiful extra song for The Seldom Seen Kid, only originally available in the UK "Digipack CD". I'm sure you guys know all about it however.
I've known about it, but I've never really listened to it until today, quite breathtaking.
I was never sure what to think of it; I always think listening to The Seldom Seen Kid from start to finish is a rewarding experience because Friends of Ours is such a poignant ending - was We're Away designed to follow it up? Or is it track 12 merely because it's something they threw in last minute? I was wondering if anyone finishes the album with We're Away on a regular basis, or if you stop it at Friends of Ours for the unaltered experience.

| I've listened to it a few times but don't consider it to be part of the album. I treat it like much like the b-sides - a pleasant little extra sweet to discover at the bottom of the pack. Although I should add that SSK on my mp3 player doesn't include 'An Audience With The Pope' either, being for me atleast, the weakest link on an otherwise faultless album. | |

| Does basically nothing for me, I'll confess. Seems fairly clealy an extra track for an extra track's sake (or for the record company's extra quid or two for a "special version", more like). Before hearing it I was hoping for something a little like "Flying Dream 143", but whereas that's a nice kooky coda after Grace, this is stitched up by the fact that "Friend of Ours" doesn't just have CLOSER written all over it but is an emotional tearjerker that doesn't need something sung like a showtune after it.
As DaddyO does, I treat it like a b-side.

| I always think of it as a cute little tune. But, yeah, definitely well out of place after Friend of Ours. I tend to play the album all the way through, including this track, but I admit to skipping it and ending after Friend of Ours once in a while. | |

| After giving it a few more listens, I have to agree with you guys. It doesn't really fit the rest of the album, Friends of Ours is ultimately designed to be the finisher, I see that now. It's a quirky little bonus track. Regardless, I really enjoy the song | |

| For there is on the CD a longer gap between the last song and that bonus song than between the other songs it is for me a little uplifter to wipe off my tears. | |

| It sounds like it's a "musical" song to me. I like it but it's just a bonus track, I only listen to it when Friend of Ours has finished and I haven't bothered to change song. | |

| Love it and never skip it, but yes, the artistic statement definitely ends best with FoO.
One day I'll try the +3 track ending (We're Away, Hotel Instanbul, and Lullabye) and see how I feel about it.
