| Is it me or does this remind folk of latter-day Leonard Cohen?

| Can't understand why many Elbow fans dislike this song. It's so under-rated.I'd been a fan of Richard Hawley's music for some time before I heard The Seldom Seen Kid.When I heard The Fix,I loved it immediately. Then the whole Seldom Seen Kid album made me from a casual Elbow fan to a real fan so basically The Fix helped me re-discover my interest in Elbow. | |

| I didn't know Richard Hawley but I love their voices together. Seems like a perfect match to me. | |

| I certainly don't dislike the fix, but I've always felt it disrupts the flow of The Seldom Seen Kid because of its totally different style - more Tim Burton-y, less... Michel Gondry-y? Also there are a couple of points in the song where it sounds like it's going to end, but doesn't quite - that gets on my nerves! The sequencing of an album has always been a really important part of music to me, so this is just one of my little ticks. If I listened to the song on it's own (which I rarely, if ever, do), I'm sure I'd enjoy it much more. And I agree, the two voices work perfectly together, I'd love to hear more! | |

Tim Burton-y Ha,quite right! It is the very first song that I've heard from TSSK and I listened to it many times before I went to listen to the whole album. So I guess that's why I never get the idea that it doesn't fit the album.... | |
