| Another cracking band in my opinion, spawn of BDB's twisted nerve of course before they went off to do their own thing. Hope one day they get back together. So 'floaty light' and mellow. | |

| Alfie were my favourite band for a long long time when I was younger. 'People' is one of the best songs written. No 'IMO'. It just is. | |

| I love everything by Alfie, I really do. I had one of my best nights out ever with Alfie. In Paris.

| Fantastic band… will never reform… just didn’t kick on the way other bands of that time did… The Brixton Academy gig where they supported Elbow was probably my personal highlight for them… seem to remember the next time they toured they played a right dive in Newcastle with less than 50peeps there, so sad… | |

| Got both their albums somehwere and I just loved - at times - the sounds that the band made, shame they didn't get bigger coz the singer Lee (I think) had the looks and a decent voice - maybe they were just a little too off the radar to make a stamp on the musical minds of the UK.
S'funny coz last week I trawled YouTube looking for their tunes, very, very sparse indeed.

I hate to contradict people and come across a pedant… but they had four albums (A Word in Your Ear; Crying at Teatime; Do You Imagine Things?; If You Happy With You Need Do Nothing) and the one thing they were constantly criticized for, was the poor sound of the frontman… not that I agreed with that as I thought lee was a kanny frontman, but more from the ian brown line of front men… if that makes sense?

No problem mate - didn't realise they had that many albums - yeah, do agree with the Ian Brown comparison aswell, did see them live once, think it was at a free annual August festival in Manchester, that's now ceased existing due to finance......it'll come to me in a bit.

| i used to absolutely love Alfie. Saw them quite a few times around Manchester - Ampersand was a particularly great gig! Was a real shame they never broke through! | |
