| Was that face value? must have been an early gig if so...That would have been something else. I mean the shows now are really good, but high production values detract a bit from the performance. Muse can get away with it cos they are so damn good live, but I prefer more intimate, raw gigs against multimedia extravaganzas.
Having said that, it depends on the artist. People like Bjork and Peter Gabriel work well with it.

| i think it was in sheffield arena, a couple of years ago. The seats were quite far back, but you could still see everything without the screens, and the show was fantastic. Not as coreagraphed as wembley, but still good. | |

| Yesterday I downloaded and burnt to DVD their show at Shepherd's Bush in 2006, that was broadcast on MTV2. Good stuff! I like that they play Citizen Erased, that makes it a worthy companion the new Wembley DVD... and Map of the Problematique is powerful as ever, both DVDs showcase that | |

| Muuuuuse!! My other favourite band. In fact I discovered Muse and Elbow on the same compilation CD way back in 2000, and they've both been my joint favourite bands since then. The first two gigs I ever went to were on Muse's Tour For Absolution in 2003, and who was supporting them... none other than Elbow. It was absolutely perfect. Elbow started their set with Red and I cried my little heart out! I'm incredibly proud to be able to say that Red was the first song I ever heard live. Oh hang on, this thread is about Muse... right. Yes I've seen Muse live many times now, was at the Royal Albert Hall (choir seats!) and Marlay Park gigs this year, also at both the Wembley Stadium ones. I can be seen on the HAARP DVD clinging on to the barrier for dear life during the intro of Knights Of Cydonia, haha, it was nuts. | |

| May I make a stand. They were too once my favourite band and one point; but now I've realised that their new stuff is so over-produced, over-hyped, and poppy for my liking. I think they are 3 amazingly talented lads, but I'm sorry, they've lost it for me. Give me Rage anyday | |

| I was very glad to finally see Muse in all their glory at the 2007 Big Day Out at the Gold Coast in Oz. I had butchered seeing them once before in late 2000 and it took me 7 years to get another shot at seeing them. I was at the (now defunct unfortunately) Livid festival in Brisbane, waiting patiently at stage "2" for Muse while some other terrible band played on stage "1" next door. Then.... out came No Doubt on stage "2" - cue me frantically looking through my tattered excuse for a program - Tent 2 not Stage 2!!! Cut to me pushing through 10,000 people trying to get away from the front of the main stages. Made it just in time to catch "Muscle Museum" and half another track. What was amusing was I asked some kid who was playing in the tent as I walked up - his response - " 'Moose' I think" Still kick myself for missing the chance to see such a now huuuuuuuuuuuge band in a comparatively very small setting. Oh well.... | |

| I'm slowly getting into Muse (and Radiohead), and would love to see them live. I LOVE "Black Holes and Revelations" (particulary Supermassive Black Hole), although I think that it needs time to really appreciate it. | |

Great album - I love previous ones too. Lots of rumours around that there is a tour coming up. | |

| Many thanks MagicalTrevor. We've heard that presales could be on Wednesday. My daughter's standing by to get tickets. She is planning to see them five times - meeting up with her MUSE forum pals on the way round Europe. Me is just one ticket (sheffield). thank you again. | |
