2003 - Elbow supporting MUSE Whew I so wish you could have been there too. I went to two shows on that tour - Wembley Arena and Exeter Westpoint. Incidentally those were my first ever gigs. And since Elbow were the support and they opened with Red... Red was the first song I ever heard Live. I cried like a baby. (A hungry, angry baby. For any Firefly fans out there.)

Fancy seeing you in here too after White Lies.
Muse and Elbow have been my joint-faves ever since 2000. So far they've been decent enough to stagger their tours/albums - just when one finishes touring an album, the other pops up with a new album and tour. If I ever had to choose between them I don't know what I'd do! Oh, hi! This is awesome. I wouldn't want to choose, either, if I were in your position. That'd be pretty rough.

| My favourite band ever. I first listened to them in 2008 (I was into crappy "gangsta" french before and mtv rnb shit).
My musical sotry begins with them.
But The Resistance is their worst stuff...
I have seen them 4 times, and the first time was in a little place, the place of the gig was announced on the morning and I have waited 8 hours for what stands for my best (and first one) gig ever.
Matthew Bellamy is the guy who made me starting to learn how to play the guitar.
Now I just wish they do not become like U2/Radiohead (starting with great stuff and becoming more and more boring/weird). We'll see with the next album.

| Radiohead becoming boring and weird? Are you sure you're not mistaking Radiohead for someone else?
Sure, "The King of Limbs" was a bit of a bust. "In Rainbows" is amazing, though. I love it.

| No I am talking about In Rainbows and The Kings Of Limbs. I cannot stand them.
From The Bends to Hail To The Thief = awesome. Before and after are bad albums. Each time I try to listen to the two last I yawn...

| Actually, the vast majority of Radiohead nation doesn't even count "Pablo Honey" as an album, so I see what you mean there. Ahhhhh. "Hail to the Thief" is my favorite! | |

| Heyyyyyy more Muse fans, I love this band, have done since I heard Origins of Symmetry which seems like forever ago now. The last Album was wicked and I am desperate to see them on tour. I keep trying to get Sparky into them but to no avail as yet. We were only discussing his reluctance to like them on Friday night after a couple of beers and some Red wine lol. I hope he can get into them as he is my gig buddy!!! ( he will probably point out that I cannot get into Arcade Fire and EVERYBODY loves them) | |

| The special Origin Of Symmetry set at Leeds/Reading this year was amazing! It's a shame there are only 3 songs from it shown on BBC, it's really something that should be seen from beginning to end. Highlights for me were the rare Hyper Music and Darkshines, and it was the first time I'd seen Screenager too. Anyone else lucky enough to be there? | |

| I had a friend of mine who went to Leeds say that it was "disappointing," and that songs like "Megalomania" didn't translate well live. Given what I saw of "Megalomania" from Leeds on YouTube, I'd have to disagree. Great song with great pyrotechnics. It was epic, and I REALLY wish I could've been there.
Oh yeah, and "Hyper Music" was awesome, because it had Chris singing the chorus. CHRIS SINGING. My word. <3 Despite that being my least favorite on OoS, I could defintiely get used to hearing it like that.

| Always love when Chris gets to sing some of the bits. Really, Hyper Music is your least fave? I absolutely adore the baseline. Megalomania is awesome live, in my opinion. First time I saw it was at the Royal Albert Hall gig when Matt played it on the huge pipe organ there, about 10 metres away from where I was sat in the choir seats. Goosebumps!! | |

I love it rather a lot - totally bonkers, and cheese levels way beyond OTT, yet somehow I wouldn't have it any other way!

| Well, a lot of people I have talked to about it really think it's a load of garbage. I, on the other hand, pretty much agree with your assessment. The high note at the end still brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. | |

| Haha, maybe they'll come around once it sinks in. That "M-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-mad-mad-mad" beat has a way of finding its way into the back of your brain. Speaking of epic riffs, this remains one of my all time fave live videos of them - Stockholm Syndrome at the Big Day Out festival in 2004. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vo7OegTKN8E | |

| When it comes to live performances, they're definitely among my Top 5 favourite bands, well, maybe even Top 3.Of course I've never been to their gigs because they've never been to mainland China but I've watched quite a few of their live videos.I can still remember how I felt when I watched the Absolution Tour and Haarp Tour DVD's for the first time.I was totally bloooooowwwwn away. And that alone led me to buying four of their CD's at once. | |
