[the current coalition government] “The biggest disgraceful disgusting sham - i didn’t think I’d see it in my lifetime. i don't know if they're confusing making unpopular decisions with making tough choices. They really are scumbags and they'd be very happy if a third of us died.” – Guy Garvey

| I've only just got the magazine - what a cracking article and what stupendous photos. If Mark is reading this - as a hardcore fan, even though it's only been since SSK, I couldn't wish a nicer and more talented bunch of musicians all the success in the world. I for one, will relish every single arena gig I see and in this shitty world of Conservative politics and cruel cutbacks, it is just brilliant to know that you lads are getting what you richly deserve ( including a new extension!) | |

After all, "everything else is bollocks and meat pies" One wonders if those were Mark's exact words in context or Q journalist simplistic Interpretation on write up, with success measured by arenas? I'm looking forward to hearing the album and the gigs like I have with all the others The Observer magazine from today was an insightful read, with a bit more about the ideas behind some of the songs.

| Aw, jeez! My father-in-law had said that a subscription to Q would be my Christmas pressie from him. But he didn't realize that his payment hadn't gone through properly when he did the online subscription order, so he just re-did it last week. I think this means I'm in too late & will miss out on this awesome cover... Even so, I'm sure I'll eventually get a hold of the issue (if not the special cover) and am looking forward to reading it. Sounds like a good 'un! | |
