Twitter feed

After a load of dicking about I managed to get a twitter feed of the four band members onto the home page.

Let me know if you find it useful, or annoying.

Great, really liking the Twitter addition! I signed up a few weeks back just to keep up with any info from Craig but now Guy is on there it makes it all the more interesting reading.

Though there are no entries on there currently, Pete and Jupp's feed is on there as well.

I might add MrsWoman's elbowfans feed too...

You should add Oliver East, whilst he's doing the artwork> He's tweeting some good stuff...

Whilst I agree that Oliver does deserve his place on there, MOST of the time his tweets aren't Elbow related, so I want to keep the feed more band relevant.

Fair enough. His Twitter feed has been very Elbow related today but yeah, it isn't usually.

Ahhh, fantastic! I don't use Twitter but normally check out their twitters, this is much easier.

It's a bit delayed unfortunately, not sure why...

Might have something to do with how you're bringing in the feeds: Are they direct Twitter RSS, via a feedburner service or a Forumotion widget? The third-party ones often have update interval options, so could prolly tinker with that if its available.

It's quick enough for a forum. I reached my limit with it really, this kind of stuff isn't my area.

Speaking of Elbow tweets...there's an account which I assume is the "official" band account (@ElbowUK). But it's been silent for the most part - only one tweet, a couple of years ago. It's cool that most of the guys are on as individuals, but I know I'd love to have up to date band news coming through Twitter. I don't go on Facebook that much anymore, MySpace is dead, and I think Twitter updates would be great as they get into this busy year of releases/touring. Don't know if you all feel the same, or not; I know not everyone on here is using Twitter, so maybe it doesn't really benefit a lot of folks just yet. Just from a selfish point of view - - I know I'd love to have some regular band info sent my way on Twitter.
