Ali G is Freddie Mercury!

Sascha Baron Cohen has been cast as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in an upcoming biopic. Probably a good choice, actually - Cohen's a pretty outrageous and fearless performer just as Freddie Mercury was, and I can imagine him doing a good job of it.

I think this is a brilliant choice, he even looks like him!
Can't wait to see it. As for him taking the piss with it, I guess that would depend on the kind of movie it is; is it a send-up or a true to life biopic?

Not sure about this...will have to wait and give judgement after the film comes out. It has the backing of Brian May though, so I'm sure he's not going to be taking the p***.
