| I was wondering about a childrens TV feature I saw years ago. Searched in german TV forums but just found out it MIGHT be something british. What I remember is this: A boy and a girl (ca. 16 or slightly older) are in a room with a huge grey(?) box (a robot?) which can play videodisks (long before the DVD!!). The boy explains the girl how that machine works, in German synchronisation the girl reads the word "speed" as "shpate" and the boy corrects her to the right english pronounciation. They watch films, for example a floor exercises girl. On the end the machine breaks down with strange noises and the floor exercise girl sudden appears rope jumping and babbling something like a record with a flaw in the room with the boy and the girl. The outro of this broadcast shows the boy and the girl running, and the outro music was "Down down" by Status Quo!
Anyone recalls something like this?

| Don't remember anything like that TL, apart from the awful "Metal Mickey" which doesn't sound a likely contender. | |

| Sounds trippy. Yet another children's tv show made by people on acid. | |

| No idea TL, sorry... could be Australian, it certainly sounds weird enough! - mrswoman wrote:

Oi! Don't knock Metal Mickey, that was my favourite programme when I was 5!

Oh, you were the viewer, Lee?! Plenty there to keep the we'uns happy. Not so much when you're 12 though.
