I'm quite taken with "Mercy Street." I like the introspectiveness of Elbow's interpretation of the song.

iTunes is acting up on me, though. It wouldn't let me buy the single. I had to listen to the stream on Peter Gabriel's website. (If this happens to leave an mp3 in the browser cache, I can't help that.)

I'm looking forward to the whole covers album next year or so.

Just on the thread title issue, what about adding a question mark at the end to solve MT's dilemma?

I think you've missed the entire point of what gabe was trying to achieve with that project. It wasnt a cover versions album in the rick rubin sense, its his interpretation of the composition...
