edit Missing clips on the Elbow-"Media Player"

I'm not amused. I used to send on my fansite the interested fans to the media player from elbow.co.uk to watch most of the videoclips but now there are only the most actual clips. No "Red", no "Fugitive Motel"...
What's the matter there?! Sad

For rights reasons I don't want to put youtube-links on my site, the german lawyers are worse than pigflu!! Evil or Very Mad

They've been gone for ages, really irritating. Possibly a record label rights issue? I don't know. I really wanted to watch the Red video a while ago and it's completely disappeared from the internet, hmph

Theres a site that i've just found that has lots of Elbow music videos on... including Red. But I dont know if im allowed to post it on here?

Might be an idea to PM the site addy to MT or any of us on the Mod Squad, then we can make a judgement call.

Meanwhile, just had a look at the official band site media player and it's up, playing both old and new vids including Red. Maybe they've had technical problems for a while?

BTW, the move to delete music vids from YouTube is moving apace, so enjoy them while you can - without ads at least

some clips are still missing: Powderblue, Not a Job and Grace under Pressure. Maybe it's really a technical problem...

I'm guessing it could be any of these:

- A limited, random selection of clips at any one time, to generate interest & return visits;
- There's only a set amount of server space allocated to the clips;
- Copyright agreement on only so many up at once...
- Or partial borkage of that bit of the site.

Something along those lines confused

YouTube with Ads like that will ruin the whole thing.
I've had videos removed from youtube, its anoying

Well I suppose its better to have videos with adds than no videos at all? Sad
