| Another belated happy birthday, sparky. Have you a photo of the cake, or has it all been eaten now? | |

We had a family do with love enough to light the street and mrs sparky organised a cake with a some of my favourite album covers on it (Genesis, REM and obviously elbow)
Anyway, my best mate and brother-in-law(the lippy kid on here) tweeted a pic of said cake to the elboys and Craig tweeted back (is that the correct phrase i don't do tweets?) that it was "Brilliant".
A great day all round. My only worry now is that I'm getting too old for gigs. Jesca Hoop didn't seem to mind last week but I was only 49 then. I'm not sure if the Wild Beasts will be too pleased when I turn up next month Thanks for all the good wishes ticky, MBV & MrWoman....much appreciated - Mr Woman wrote:

Mixed news on the cake front MrWoman: Bad news: all the cake has been eaten, or cut into tiny pieces and wrapped up in paper napkins. I suspect it would be virtually impossible to re-assemble Good news: it was lovely! More good news: there are a number of electronic images of said cake More bad news: I don't know how to load them onto here Anyway, being 50 isn't as bad as I had feared. I just bought the Beth Jeans Houghton album and everything seemed to go OK

| Breaking news!!
Elbow hit Corrie!
Friday night's edition Elbow got a mention.
Tommy bought Tina two Elbow tickets for her 21st birthday. Great storyline but sad thing Elbow not touring UK currently. Nice that they got a mention amongst the cobblestones.
Yes I know its sad but true I am a Corrie fan!

| No, not a joke.
In a scene one of the characters had bought tickets for an Elbow concert. Craig mentioned it on Twitter.

| A week ago, I graduated from college, and today, I found out I passed my PPR, a test I have to pass in order to obtain my teaching certification. I'm really thrilled about being able to call myself a teacher. | |

Mine and Alex's big day was on 10th May, went swimmingly and a good time was had by all! Bit sad it's all over now, want to do it again. But now all the wedding madness is done with, I have some free time to spend on here again, hooray! Not got our photographer's photos back yet but here's a nice guest snap: http://tinyurl.com/cgztzoy

It's been emotional.... Fearing the worst, mrs sparky and I had taken a weekend break in Lisbon to coincide with the last game of the season. I'd also avoided the forum since 4pm on May 13th as I knew there were a few City fans on here. Assuming things had quietened down, I tentatively logged back on this morning only to discover that MBV had delayed his celebrations to coincide within minutes my return to the forum! You are sir, a master of timing Anyway, Congratulations to MBV, Mr_K and other blues on here and although it breaks my heart to say it; based on entertainment value and quality of football this season, you richly deserved it.

Cheers Sparky, very gracious of you.... It was basically 2 full days on the lash and I spent the next few days 'deep warm drunk' -if we hadn't have done it it'd have been our best/worst cock up in our history. But we did. Thank you Sergio Aguero - you man, are a legend.

| My baby brother graduated from high school yesterday. It's particularly exciting for my parents because he's the last of us (my two brothers and I) to reach that point. We don't have to deal with high school stuff anymore. | |
