| One of my favourite bands and about time they got a thread on here. Love their albums, love them live and Olly is just so cute | |

| Their latest album Dark on Fire was released last september, its very good.
Better than their previous one, which is probably the weakest of the four imo.
They toured the UK in February (we saw them in Stoke, excellent as usual) and will be doing some summer festivals tba.

| I have the album Jackinabox. It has some great songs! I especially like Last Clown and Come and Go - including the ambient music at the end, veeery cool. | |

| I've got three of their albums but never really got THAT into them as I'd hoped, for me they're just "one of those bands I occasionaly listen to". Think the reason why is that alot of their songs just sound the same, but still, Feeling Oblivion is a top tune | |

| I'll say the same as Robeman, but in a less succinct way! They're a bit samey, but don't dislike them totally and they had a couple of good tracks. | |

| I really, really can't take to Dark Fire. It's weird, I discovered Elbow, Turin Breaks and Aqualung around the same time... But i seem to have grown appart from the Breaks. Still LOVE the Optimist though! | |

| Always liked but not loved this band. Optimist is great listen, newer albums dont seem to match it though. always have good solid songs on there albums but they lack something to make me love them. Great live though. | |

| ^^^Good to see ya Chan - i think i've still a cd you made for me from the SP Forum! I still think Turin Brakes will struggle to beat The Optimist, it offers so much, where as the last two to me just seem so bland, bar a few tunes. They're still a great band to see live though. | |

Has anyone seen the latest advert for Special K cereal? I just saw it on Dave in between Top Gear and QI, and they use an instrumental remake of Fishing for a Dream in the background!
