| With festival season coming on, I thought I'd ask y'all if anyone's headed to a fest this year. Elbow's doing some but I'll be missing them, since I'm stuck on the wrong side of the pond. The UK has great fests and I always turn green with envy when I read the lineups every year. There are some good ones in the US too, but the only one I ever manage to get to is Langerado, which is here in FL in March. This year's Langerado headliners were REM, the Beastie Boys and Phil Lesh. The overall lineup of Langerado is a bit jam-band oriented for me, but I've seen the Flaming Lips, Wilco and some other great acts there so it's worth it. What are you all seeing this year? | |

| Glastonbury is probably the best festival here. Vfestival is also good. The various Party's in the Park are good, but I wouldn't really class them as festivals. | |

http://www.sziget.hu/festival_english hey I'm going there too buddy! Not convinced by the lineup yet but there are many more acts to come. Who do you think will headline on the sunday? Are you camping? I am staying in a nice air conditioned apartment near by! | |

| Last year, we were there for only a day, but this year we're definitely going to camp. We've bought tents already... You're renting that apartment or what??? I have no idea who'll headline... They need someone strong...Maybe Sex Pistols | |

| I don't like Festivals. Mostly they are too huge and the weather is too bad for a 5'3'' girl with weak immune system... Or what do you think about 55 Bands on three days for 100 Euros in an area where rain is definitively not a seldom seen kid... I am quite glad I did not go to the "Hurricane/Southside Festival" back in 2006...a worker died during the storm!!! And while the musicians can escape into their dry and warm tourbusses the poor fan has nothing but his tend in the mud... I really hope, Elbow will come on club tour again and not during my Greece-Holiday! I decided to see them at REM in Würzburg but it's open air too and I can only hope for good weather... Open Air and Festivals are not my cup of tea... | |

| Yeah, rotten weather can definitely put the badness on any fest. Unlike most of the world, Florida starts and ends its festival season in spring, not summer, because if we waited till summer we'd all either A. die of heat exhaustion/dehydration, or B. get caught in massive thunderstorms and/or hurricanes. Not exactly good conditions for rockin' out! | |

| I'm going to the Norwegian Wood festival to see Foo Fighters mainly and to Oya festivalen, both in Oslo. Oya lineup is wicked this year, Sigur Ros, Grinderman, Sonic Youth, Turbonegro, The National, Jose Gonzalez just to mention a few....Thinking about going to the Summercase festival in Madrid too, was there last year and saw Kaiser Chiefs, BDB, Air and Chemical Brothers. Chemical Brothers were insane, never really been into their music but their show was awesome .The Verve and Maximo Park, Grinderman, Primal Scream and Interpol are amongst the bands playing there this year! Should be wicked | |

| The Oya sounds ace. So far not much apart from day tickets o2 - and field day - amazing lineup, really like the look of connect though | |
