To go and see a band while wearing a t shirt of said band or is it a bit er.. uncool ?

Is it considered far cooler to wear an "ironic" band T shirt ie heavy metal from the 70s ?

What about those pink cowboy hats that seem to be sold in great numbers for concerts at the M.E.N. ie Boyzone, Dolly Parton for the Dolly concert Victoria station looked like Dodge City in pink

yeah thats basically what I think I have no opinion either way, mind you I bet the person who invented the pink cowboy hat is coining it.

It's certainly a dodgy subject. It seems there are some bands where it is a crime to not wear the t-shirt at the gig i.e. Manic Street Preachers, or any of these new emo bands that are coming in.

But yeah i agree, wear whatever you have that is clean.

Hahaha when i go to the elbow gig, i'm definitely buying a top when i get there i'm a freak that way

It's not for everyone, so just wear what you feel comfortable in

My solution is this: Put on a light shirt, go to ur gig, then buy a shirt when u get there. Then it isn't sad to wear it throughout the gig.

Sorry. Really un-cool... Wearing ANOTHER band's t-shirt is acceptable though.
But honestly, I really couldn't care less about what other people wear to gigs. Whatever makes you happy. If that means a pink cowboy hat, then fine. As long as you don't stand in front of me!
