YESSSSSSSSS!!! Finally got a spot of good luck on the live music scene...it's been kinda quiet here for a while but the lineup was just announced for Sunfest (a local food and music extravaganza), and it will include THE FLAMING LIPS!!! They'll be there the night before my birthday - YAY!!! Gotta start working on my costume, and I'll need some bubbles and confetti.... Party!

Oh, man!! Ticky, you are my HERO, dude (erm, I mean you are my heroine, dudette!)!! I didn't know anything about this, seeing as how I am allergic to this type of reality show. But seriously...how adorable is Wayne in his little hard hat? He was only on for a tiny little cameo, but it made my day to see him helping out with the building. Bless!

Sadness! My Flaming Lips gig at Sunfest, which would have been tonight, was cancelled yesterday. Seems Steven Drozd is in the hospital, although they are not disclosing his ailment. I was SOOO looking forward to this and I am heartbroken that I won't see them this time, but I hope that whatever is wrong with Mr. Drozd is not major, and that he'll be OK soon.

HELP,I bouth WAR... as CD today and cannot convert them into mp3. Whats wrong?
Have the same problems with SB and YBTPR. They are original CDs....
Can anybody help? The PC doesn't even detect the CDs. Sad

I want them on my mp3 player! *cry*

I cannot import them at all....
PC doesn't recognise the CD. It's like there isn't one.

I've just bought tickets for my 2 kids and I. It means taking a 1/2 day off school but it's towards the end of the year and Caitilin will have done her AS Levels by then. Undoubtedly it will be an education in itself.
I can't wait for Caitilin and Oscar to see them live - it should blow their minds!!! HA HA!!! cheers

Well, after a bit of last-minute negotiations and some plain old good luck, I managed to get to a FLips show at long last! I was really impressed with how great the Embryonic songs sounded live. Only complaint I had was that the crowd was way too small and way too subdued for a Flaming Lips show. I hate it when people at a concert are "too cool" to sing along. Whatta buncha doofuses, just standing there with their arms crossed, nodding their heads a bit and nothing more. When Wayne asks you to make monkey noises, you make monkey noises, dammit! Mad

Anyway, I may have managed to get a decent photo or two, and if so I'll post them when I can. Unfortunately, there's none of me with Wayne, unlike some lucky people I know around here, not that I'm naming names *coughTICKYcough* Laughing
