| Surprised to see there isn't a thread about these guys yet.
They supported Elbow at the Festival Hall gig, and were superb. The album is amazing too.

| Again, love Fleet Foxes, friend of mine went to see them with Elbow and has seen them countless times..Their album is one that I have to play from start to finsh a lovely rural sound.
They are a band I haven't seen yet but really want to. I saw Elbow and Doves in Delamere Forset, and would love to see Fleet Foxes there too, their music would be great in the trees!

| Wow, supporting Elbow, wish I'd seen that ! Got into them a while back and absolutely adore their LP, got tickets for the Apollo in Manchester in September and I really cannot wait, anticipation is nearing Elbow levels !! Their harmonies are sonething else.
Saw them at Glasto on TV the other week, mid afternoon with the sun out, it looked absolutely perfect.

| Mykonos has now been included on the 'Special edition' Fleeties LP. Saw them 5 or 6 times and Glasto was disappointing, the Pyramid stage was just to big for them, plus Lily was on after so we were surronded by unappreciative teenagers, it would've made sense to put them higher on the bill at the Other or Park stage. If you like Fleet Foxes you also need to check out Local Natives, they are simply amazing. www.myspace.com/localnatives https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EonnZ-8GdiY | |

| Saw them in Manchester on Friday and it was an absolute delight. Positioned myself virtually at the front of the Apollo near the bar and within 2 songs we realised that was a mistake, the clatter and chatter from the bar was far too loud for a bad like these and there was a couple behind us gabbing non stop. We moved to the opposite end of the barrier and it was much better. After starting with probably 3 new tracks out of the first 4 or 5, things accelerated nicely as did the atmosphere. Bizarrely, Robin the sings had about 3 or 4 mugs, of what looked ike tea which he supped non stop between songs, but which later he described as 'throat coat' honey and something else. What really stood out though was Robin singing on the tip of the stage 'Tiger Mountain.....' with an acoustic guitar, acapella (I think they call it), it was spellbinding. Highlights were 'Blue Ridge Mountain' 'Mykonos' 'Your Protector', the former was an ace ending, which had a few of the backstage crew joining them with tambourines etc, there was some top beards on that stage !! Chuffed I finally got to see them, and was stood next to Marc Riley aka Lard. | |

| Thanks for the report, MBV - I haven't had the opportunity to see them live but would very much like to. They've got such a great sound on record and I imagine it'd be wonderful live too. | |

| Chrissie, it was totally unlike any other gig I've been to, before songs started there was an almost hushed reverance, Robin semed genuinely humbeld by the reception that they were getting from the 3,500 packed in. In Manchester they've gone from The Roadhouse (200 - 300 capacity) to the University (800) to Apollo in less than 18 months. | |

| ^ Yes, it is. I listened to it right before I went to bed the other night. I got so hyped up and excited after hearing it that I couldn't fall asleep for a half hour afterwards. I think if the overall album sound is consistent with what we've heard on that track, "Helplessness Blues" will be a frontrunner as one of the best albums of 2011. | |

| That's what I've heard. I was told that it's different, but it still has that distinctive Fleet Foxes sound. Is that accurate? | |
