ta... i thought it was a good track to be honest, its been a little bit of an ear-worm over the weekend since i first heard it... thought it was a tad "80s" whilst listening to it, in a retro way...

Gotta say, I am really enjoying the song especially after a few more listens. Bit difficult to make out some of the words but I think the lyrics are along these lines:

Can we talk about how amazing the brass and strings sound in this tune?

I can't quite tell, but I think the solo part has a bit of organ, too. Can anyone tell? I honestly thought it was just really cool sounding synthesizer until I saw brass and string players in one of the videos. All I know is this song sounds like all the coolest brass and string parts from other Elbow tunes combined in perfect fusion.

If ever they were channeling Gabriel...it's here. Definitely one of those times where the live pre-release version is good enough that I fear the studio version might *gasp* change something.

Niftium: It's such an excellent line for a live show. It's been a great zinger in every vid I've seen so far.

Anyways, in the refrain, I'm wondering whether Guy actually says "And I designed that little mystery on your tongue". Does this seem to fit well enough? I can't tell whether this sounds right or whether I'm just fixating on how the word 'history' is repeated.
