Tom Fleming's voice sounds remarkably similar to Garvey's on a few tracks off their latest album - almost a carbon copy! :

See what you think, they're also a fantastic band regardless

I was just listening to Wild Beasts, I love the new album, not as immediate as 'Two Dancers' but amazing nonetheless. Can't wait to see them at Glasto next week, it will be a dash from Elbow to Park stage for them, via the cider bus Smile

Must admit, I hadn't thought about the Guy Garvey similarity, but I can see what you mean.

"Smother" is, along with BARB, one of the two standout albums of the year so far for me. (With the good, but sadly not brilliant Death Cab For Cutie in third place and the brilliant but sadly too short Jesca Hoop EP in fourth)

The second half of the closing track "end come too soon" remeinds me of the Cocteau Twins.
By the way, any of you youngsters who haven't heard the album "Treasure" by the Cocteau Twins, give it a listen and marvel that it is 27 years old!

Sorry, went a bit off topic there.........Wild Beasts, brilliant

'Smother' is fantastic, as is 'Two Dancers', and seeing them at Manchester Cathedral! Should be an interesting experience, surprising that Elbow haven't played there actually! And sparky, I certainly see what you mean, I thought that song had a bit of 'Lorelei' about it.
