| Today, not going myself, if I was 20 years younger and not as allergic to rain as I am now I would be there. Elbow just on before the headline act "Kings Of Leon". KOL should be supporting Elbow in my honest opinion . Reports in here please if anybody went. Cheers | |

Yep, that's right. Left straight after the 'Bow. Didn't see even one second of KoL and was back in time to help my mates drown their sorrows in our local: It was absolutely fantastic though, the boys were in top-form! Here's what they played: The Birds Bones of You Mirrorball Neat Little Rows Grounds for Divorce Lippy Kids Tower Crane Driver Station Approach Open Arms Oh, and they finished with something obscure I've never heard of: 'This Day'? 'Some Day'? mmm... So, it was a pretty decent amount of time and a lovely set. (Missed Weather to Fly though ) Anyway, they were amazing and really got the crowd going. It was a joy to behold and I even found myself a little teary-eyed to see how well they were doing and how warmly they were received. They rock!

| Looks like a great show! And that's exciting that they played something new (This Day? or whatever it was). Was it written by Elbow or a cover? Hahaha wow just reread your post and I get it now. Pretend I didn't ask

Its that eerie,spine-tingling,gentle b-side they were going to play as it especially fitted the special St Paul's Cathedral Concert, but they hadn't the time to rehearse it so did at Slane instead

| Cheers peeps. A rock journo from the Irish Times and one I have a lot of time for had this to say..........
"Earlier support acts The Whigs, Mona and White Lies tried hard but failed to muster crowd enthusiasm.
Not even Elbow’s weighty emotional and considered music could engage in any meaningful way, despite lead singer Guy Garvey’s chummy, authoritative onstage patter. Result? A great band playing brilliant, convincing music at the wrong venue."
