So sad Another loss this week. Karn was bass player with Japan. A fav of mine from the 80s.

Another musical landmark gone: Such a crucial part of Japan's defining sound.
Sad too that he needed to appeal to for help with medical costs for his cancer treatment.

RIP Mick. Only 52 years old.
His fretless bass was a distinctive sound of the late 70s, early 80s.
Very sad, am going to listen to Tin Drum on the way home - especially "Visions of China".

Good grief, more bad news. And like MrsW said, very sad to hear he had to appeal for financial assistance. You'd think he would have known plenty of people who could've given him a dig-out. Anyway, seems awfully young to be taken as well...
